Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Keyser

Staff were very good and helpful. Breakfast was good but I would like to see turkey bacon or sausage. All kinds of places to eat within walking distance or short drive. Planning to go back for my birthday weekend. Thanks Octavio and staff.

The room was very nice. A/C worked great. The bathroom actually had an exhaust fan. Service was great. Front desk people were nice and professional. Breakfast was very nice. Great coffee. Breakfast folks did a nice job on the food and cleaning up for lazy people from New York who left all their trash at the table. Location....ugh. Go up the road between Walmart and the future taco bell....through a parking lot.....around a road ....through a tunnel over overgrown grass.....jeeez. Smoking area is right at the front door. I had to walk through stinking smokers just to exit the building.

Very clean, very accommodating & excellent service. They treated our dogs like family with many treats. We thought we would have to leave after our 1st night as the 1 queen bed didn't accommodate both of us & the dogs. In beknownst to me, my husband slept on the floor. Rather than change hotels, we were given the choice of a suite or double queen room & the pet fee was waived for the 2nd night. The double queen room worked out perfectly. Can't wait for our next trip.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The exercise had 3 pieces of equipment. Enough that I could get in my daily workout. Coffee is available 24x7. The continental breakfast had many great selections. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Rooms are neat and clean. The bathroom was a very good size. The bed was reasonably cushy w/o being too soft. Cons: Door slamming is excessive. Internal walls a bit thin. Perhaps post a sign for "quiet time" between certain hours. Guests did not respect the "no smoking within 15 feet of the door" and staff never said anything to them. A smoking pavilion out back would keep guys from hanging by the door and checking out everyone coming and going. Housekeeping did not take the left over coffee cups (both days). Rooms could use an in-wall lamp for reading/working in bed and/or at desk. Lighting is all or nothing. None of the cons are deal breakers but suggestions for hotel improvement. Charlene Smith (front desk staff) was very helpful and friendly. Biggest Con: I like pets but there should be a size/weight limit on dogs.And only certain rooms should be used for pet overnights. I can't imagine anyone keeping a pet in a room that small.

Very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is no pool. I sat out back where they have a barbecue and fire pit. Super small gym. Good location and price. I stayed 3 nights.

My girl and I stopped in the Microtel for a room after a 300 mile ride on my motorcycle. We were hot, tired and needed somewhere to cool off and clean up. The young man at the front desk was unbelievably friendly and helpful. He searched for places for dinner and entertainment on the internet, gave us directions to several places. He even made a whole batch of chocolate chip cookies to set out when I mentioned someone ate them all. Service like this is far and few. Especially from a man of his age. Under 21. The room was extremely clean and neat. Not a trace of anyone being there before us. They had all the amenities such as cable flat screen tv, microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, air conditioning on a thermostat, good quality soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand lotion. If you need a toiletry item, they have travel size items at no charge. The next morning I was greeted by another extremely friendly man at the front desk. They offer a great continental breakfast including hot and cold food and a wide array of beverages. This place is great. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and they pale in comparison to this place. Our room was a hundred bucks including taxes. Worth every penny!!

Up to see the in-laws for a bit in Keyser. We checked out one other motel, and it was a no-go. A local suggested we stay at the Micro Inn & Suites of Keyser. We were not disappointed. Very affordable and clean. Great breakfast in the mornings. The staff was so very friendly and polite. Ty was very helpful. The morning staff keep the buffet stocked with fresh food as needed. It was a wonderful view of the town from our window.
